What exactly is an operating system upgrade?
This upgrade is an essential technology upgrade for our Credit Union.


Why is Navy Army Community Credit Union upgrading its operating system?
Our new system paves the way for new products and services, enhances many existing services, and speeds transactions.


When will the upgrade take place?
After a year of planning and testing, we will implement the system beginning March 30 through April 1. All systems will be available on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.


Why is the upgrade taking place at the end of the month?
A month end closing will ensure the accuracy of member statements, dividend payments, and other critical month-end processes. Members will still be able to use their checks, debit cards, and make ATM withdrawals during the system upgrade. We will also post any direct deposits received by end of day on Friday, 3/29.  This will likely include many of the direct deposits scheduled for 4/1.  While our branches will be closed on Saturday, 3/30 and Monday, 4/1, our Member Service Call Center will be open to answer questions.


Will hours of operation be affected?
Yes. All branches will maintain normal business hours on Friday, March 29. Branches will be closed all day on Saturday, March 30 and Monday, April 1. All branches will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, April 2.


Will Online & Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, and Tel-R-Line (Bank by Phone) be available?
No. All Online, Mobile, and Bill Pay & Bank by Phone access will be unavailable during the system upgrade beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 29. It is important to note that bill payments occurring during the system upgrade must be scheduled no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Mobile Check Deposits should be made by 10:00 am Friday, March 29.

We will work diligently to minimize the down time, but please plan for these services to be unavailable until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2.


Will my NavyArmy Debit Card work during the system upgrade?
Yes. You will be able to use your cards for purchases and ATM withdrawals as usual. However, you will not be able to make ATM deposits during the upgrade.


Will I still be able to write a check during system upgrade?
Yes. All your checks will work before, during and after the system upgrade.


Will I be able to use Courtesy Pay during system upgrade?
No, Courtesy Pay will not be available during the system upgrade; All card authorizations will be based on the account balance as of Friday, March 29 at 8 pm CT.


Will the online loan applications be available?
Yes. All online loan applications will be available during the system upgrade. During the upgrade, vehicles can also be financed with any local dealers participating in our dealer partner program.


Will my deposits be available, I will need to deposit my paycheck.
You can deposit those funds on Tuesday, April 2 when all NavyArmy branches re-open. If you’d like, you can also put the deposit into any one of our branch Night Deposit boxes, and again, that deposit will be processed on Tuesday, April 2. ATM Deposits* will need to be made prior to 2:00 pm on Friday, March 29 and Mobile Check Deposits* will need to be made prior to 10:00 am, Friday, March 29. *Funds Availability Policy still applies.


Will direct deposits, transfers and payments happen as scheduled?
There will be NO IMPACT to any scheduled deposits, transfers or payments (including social security and other government checks) during or after the system upgrade. All direct deposits that are transmitted to NavyArmy before Friday, March 29, 2019 with a posting date of March 30 - April 2 will be deposited to your account on March 29th.


Will I be able to make NavyArmy loan payments during the upgrade?
During the upgrade payments made via online/mobile banking will not be available. Also our Loan Payment Portal will not be available during the upgrade.

How will the upgrade impact my loan payments?
There will be NO IMPACT in processing any automated loan payments during or after the upgrade. However, if you prefer to write checks from another financial institution to pay your NavyArmy loans, please include your new account number on these checks, beginning April 2.


Will the closure affect my direct deposit and automatic loan payments?
No. During this upgrade, all transactions will clear your account normally.


Will Shared Branching be available? Can I just go to another credit union and get my money from there?
No. Shared Branching will be unavailable during the upgrade. However, you will be able to use any ATM to withdrawal cash from your account, in addition to NavyArmys’ ATMs.


Will the upgrade impact my usage of Quicken?
Yes. Quicken will not be able to access your NavyArmy account during the upgrade. Please visit navyarmyccu.com/quicken to learn the few steps you need to take to assure your new account numbers and transactions are accurately represented once the upgrade is complete.

After the Upgrade

Will my account history be affected by the upgrade?
No. Your account history will appear as usual. We are performing extensive testing to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.


Will my member number change?
No. Your member number remains the same.


Will my online username/password change?
No. Your username (Login ID) and password will remain the same.


Will my account number change?
After the upgrade your checking account number will be unchanged, so things like direct deposits and checks will not be affected. Other types of accounts (Savings, Loans, CD’s) will have their own unique account numbers; when you establish any direct deposits, transfers or payments- please provide the new account number.


Where can I find my account numbers?
Beginning April 2, log in to online/mobile banking. Your account numbers and any nicknames you have given them will appear in your list of accounts. Click on any of your accounts to see your member number and account details. Your statement will also reflect your account number(s) for a brief period to help familiarize yourself with the new format.


Can I use my existing NavyArmy checks after the upgrade?
Yes. Checks will clear your account as usual.


Will I need to set up a new login and password for Bank by Phone (Tel-R-Line)
Your password will be reset. During the initial call, you will enter the last four numbers of your social security number. However, our new Bank by Phone system will guide you through that set up process, step by step.
