Simple steps to better protect your account

Nobody wants to be a victim of fraud, but recent scams show that criminals are getting smarter and more creative with fooling people into sharing private information. Below are a few ways to stay ahead of fraudulent activity and safeguard your bank account.

Update Your Contact Information

Keep your email address and mobile number up-to-date on your accounts so we can get in touch quickly if there’s suspicious activity.

Protect Private Information

If you receive a text message or phone call from a financial institution, safeguard your card number and PIN. Remember, when we contact you we will never ask for sensitive information (account number, username, passwords) in an email, phone call or text message.

Set Alerts with SmartCard

When you download the SmartCard app, you can register and set alerts to help you keep tabs on your accounts.

Shop Safer

Chip technology provides an additional layer of security. If a merchant offers it, be sure to use the chip option to avoid the possible theft of your data.

Go Paperless

Avoid the theft of your personal and banking information. Sign up for electronic statements and keep fraudsters out of your mailbox.

Report Suspicious Activity

Check your account regularly for unauthorized transactions. Report suspicious activity or scams immediately to [email protected] or call 1-800-622-3631.
