Damage to Your Home? What do I do?

Step 1. Contact your insurance company if you have any property damage
Your first step is to contact your insurance company and file a claim. Find out when an adjustor will come and when to expect any claim checks.

Step 2. Call a home loan service expert at 1-866-840-4152 and let us know you filed a claim
We’ll provide you important details on how to process your claim check. We’ll discuss how NavyArmy will be involved in the process to restore your home. We’ll look for other ways we can help, like offering flexible loan payment options.
No matter how significant your property damage – even with a complete loss of your home – we’ll work with you to review all of your options.

Step 3. Endorse the insurance check and start the repair process
When you receive your insurance check, you’ll notice that Navy Army Community Credit Union is named on it. As the mortgage provider, we have a financial interest in ensuring your property is restored. Contact a home loan service expert at 866-840-4152 as soon as you receive your check. We will give you the information and forms you need to move forward with repairs.

For minor damages, We’ll endorse the insurance check to you to manage the repairs. If the Total Loss Proceeds (TLP) is less than or equal to $20,000 and your loan is current, NavyArmy won’t oversee the repairs. Instead, we’ll endorse the check completely to you to manage the repairs.

For significant damages or if your loan is not current, NavyArmy will help monitor the repairs to your home. If the TLP is greater than $20,000 or if your loan is not current, we’ll work with you to ensure your property is restored. You can endorse the check and present it to any NavyArmy branch or mail it to our Loss Draft Department for processing.
